About the Commencement Ceremony

Marymount University’s 2025 Commencement will be a special celebration, marking our graduates’ well-earned achievements and the university’s 75th anniversary of excellence and purpose-driven education.

  • The University is planning in-person, outdoor ceremonies for 2025 graduates during the weekend of May 15-18. Please note that all outdoor ceremonies will be rain or shine, so please check the weather for that day and dress appropriately. Umbrellas will not be permitted on the field. Please consider bringing a poncho or other rain covering that will not obstruct the view of guests around you.
  • Commencement ceremonies will take place on the Converse Family Field on Main Campus and will include students who qualify for graduation from the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025 semesters.
  • Spring 2025 commencement ceremonies will be held according to each College, with each ceremony including graduate and undergraduate students together.
  • There will be separate indoor hooding ceremonies for doctoral candidates held the day before their respective commencement ceremonies.

Each student planning to participate in a College Commencement ceremony will be issued 6 tickets. Doctoral students planning to participate in a Hooding ceremony will be issued 4 tickets for that event. Graduating students can pick up their commencement tickets from their College Dean’s office during the week of April 28. Please bring a photo ID and confirmation of completing your Graduating Student Survey to collect your tickets. As in years past, each commencement ceremony will be broadcast live online for family members and guests to view remotely if they cannot attend in-person.
