Visions 2022: Juried High School Art Exhibition

The Visions 2022 Juried Art Exhibition celebrates the outstanding creative achievements of current high school students. This juried competition is organized by the Fine Arts Program of the School of Design + Art at Marymount University.

Juror: Amanda Jirón-Murphy

Amanda Jirón-Murphy, Artist Residency & Collector Liaison at Arlington Arts Center, is a curator and creative consultant. She holds a BA in Art History from John Cabot University in Rome and an MA in Modern and Contemporary Art and Connoisseurship from Christie’s Education in London. She served as an intern at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy, and at The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC, where she later worked on the museum’s adult education programming. From 2012 to 2019, she was Gallery Director at Hamiltonian in Washington, DC. Jirón-Murphy has been a guest speaker and panel moderator at institutions including the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, George Washington University’s Textile Museum, Smithsonian’s Luce Foundation for American Art, National Museum of Women and the Arts, and Maryland Institute College of Art. Her writings have appeared in online journals The Rib and DIRT DMV.
