Marymount University Digital Marketing Certificate Program

Our mission is to prepare students to create and implement digital marketing strategies as an integral component of an overall marketing plan. Cultivate digital marketing essentials from SEO and search engine marketing to social media campaigns and cross-channel marketing, through the lens of targeting business growth. Within the context of promotion, students in the graduate certificate in digital marketing program will learn techniques to maximize  customer engagement strategies in owned media, paid media, and earned media. Additionally, students will examine how technology driven tools, such as those derived within data science, can assist in making impactful digital marketing decisions and drive conversion rate optimization. This digital marketing certification program consists of two courses offered by the School of Business and two courses offered by the School of Technology and Innovation so that students have the opportunity to broaden their digital marketing skills in both technology and business administration.

Our digital marketing certificate program includes the following courses:

Required courses:

  • MBA 521: Marketing Concepts and Practice
  • MKT 590: Digital Marketing
  • IT 546: Principles of Data Science
  • IT 586: Machine Learning

Minimum Grade: A minimum grade of B- is needed to receive credit for a course in the certificate. All graduate students in the College of Business, Innovation, Leadership, and Technology must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Students whose GPA falls below 3.0 at the end of any semester will be placed on academic probation. Students must bring their cumulative GPA to 3.0 or higher within nine (9) graduate credits or be dismissed. A student whose cumulative GPA falls below 3.0 a second time will be dismissed.
