Voluntary Statement for Students Requesting Housing Accommodations

If you are seeking a housing accommodation due to a documented disability, including conditions such as severe food allergies, sensory sensitivities, or other medical needs that may require environmental control, we encourage you to submit your request as early as possible.

While accommodation requests are accepted and reviewed at any time, housing placements depend on room availability. Submitting your documentation early allows our team to advocate more effectively on your behalf and increases the likelihood that your SAS accommodation can be met without delay.

We understand that some needs may emerge later in the process, and we remain committed to reviewing all requests on an individual basis. However, if a placement that meets your SAS accommodation is not available when your eligibility is determined, immediate placement may not be possible. In those cases, we will work with the Office of Student Living to explore appropriate alternatives and revisit placement if space becomes available.
