Amazon Lockers (Arlie) is located between the Mailroom and the Kinesiology Lab in Berg Hall (open 24 hours)

Student Residents, please visit the mailroom to get your mailbox information!

 

Please be aware that any packages and mail dropped off after 4 pm will not be shipped out until the following business day, allowing the vendor to pick up

Whether you are a resident or commuter student, Mail Services is here for you! We offer a convenient one-stop shop for all your mailing needs, many of which you would find at any carrier store, including:

  • Obtain your mailbox assignment and combination at the Berg Hall mailroom
  • Pick up your packages
  • Send out your packages via the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, or FedEx
  • Drop off mail
  • Purchase stamps at the Berg Hall mailroom
  • Get advice about mailing

How to open your mailbox if located in Lee Center and Rowley Hall

Instructions:
Turn left 3 times to the first number.
Turn right 2 times to the second number.
Turn left 1 time to the third number.
Turn right 1 time until the dial stops and opens (a small click will be heard/felt).

 

How to open your mailbox if located in Ostapenko

Instructions:
Just turn the dial to the 4-digit combination (provided by mailroom staff to you in person only) in order to open the mailbox.

Unclaimed Package Policy

Pursuant to Virginia Code § 23.1-104, the University may dispose of unclaimed personal property after making a reasonable attempt to notify the owner and holding the property for at least 120 days. If the property remains unclaimed after this period, the university may take the following action:

Also, any perishable/temperature-sensitive packages will be disposed of if not picked up within 7 days from the arrival date

  • Sell the property and deposit the proceeds into the University’s operating fund.
  • Donate the property to a nonprofit organization.
  • Dispose of the property in another appropriate manner.
