Campus Security Authorities

Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) are University officials with significant responsibility for student and campus activities, designated to report information about criminal incidents.

At Marymount University, the Office of Campus Safety and Emergency Management receives these reports.

Marymount University’s CSAs include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Campus Safety Officers
  • Resident Assistants, Residence Hall Coordinators, Area Coordinators, the Assistant Director and the Director of Campus and Residential Services
  • Director of Human Resources
  • Admissions Counselors
  • Dean of Students
  • Coaches, Trainers, and the Director of Athletics
  • Faculty Advisors and the Title IX Compliance Officer

CSAs collect necessary information and make connections to helpful resources.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires that CSAs report certain crimes to Campus Safety, regardless of whether those crimes have been reported to external law-enforcement agencies.
