Students Invited to Marymount, Other Virginia Private Colleges

Marymount University invites high school juniors, seniors and their families – as well as college students interested in transferring – to visit campus as part of Virginia Private College week from July 27 to Aug. 1. Students who visit three or more participating institutions during the week will receive application fee waivers to any three members of the Council of Independent Colleges of Virginia.

“This is a great opportunity to learn about the quality and affordability of our private colleges,” said Alecia Denmark, Marymount’s senior associate director of undergraduate admissions. “We offer small classes and personal attention. Our students are engaged in the classroom, involved on campus, mentored by professors, and well-prepared for a career or graduate school.”

Marymount is one of 23 colleges taking part in the annual event. Tours and information sessions about academic programs, financial aid and the admission process will be held at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Check-in will be in the Caruthers Hall. Those attending should arrive at least 15 minutes before the session. Campus staff will direct visitors to parking. To register, go to marymount.edu.
