Marymount announces strategic partnership with Keypath Education to deliver new online programs

Administrators from Marymount University have finalized a partnership agreement with Keypath Education, a global leader in education access and Online Program Management, to implement new online course programming that will expand the Marymount curriculum to a wider national audience.

Officials from both Marymount and Keypath Education celebrated the announcement on campus Thursday. The first online course offerings available through this partnership, which are expected to launch at the beginning of the Fall 2020 semester, will be centered on Nursing and Education. They are expected to provide steady enrollment growth for the University, and more programs are expected to launch online at later dates.

“We’re delighted about forming a partnership with an extraordinary company – one that we can collaborate with to achieve our Strategic Plan goals, such as long-term enrollment growth,” said Dr. Irma Becerra, President of Marymount University. “It’s an incredible opportunity to allow more students to benefit from the great, high-quality education that Marymount already provides.”

Currently, Marymount offers a number of online programs in areas such as Business Administration, Cybersecurity and Catholic School Leadership. With Keypath Education’s expanded national reach, it’s anticipated that the quantity and quality of Marymount’s online-available programs will improve as students take advantage of these offerings, regardless of their physical location.

For instance, Keypath Education’s clinical placement network will allow Nursing students all over the country to take online courses through Marymount while gaining hands-on, clinical experiences within their home community.

“That’s an example of an enrollment complexity that Keypath Education is willing and eager to address,” explained Dr. Hesham El-Rewini, Provost of Marymount University. “There are many Online Program Management providers out there, and many of them try to avoid those kinds of complexities. It’s refreshing to work with an organization that can accommodate the desired experience we want for our students.”

Since its founding, Keypath Education has continuously partnered with higher education institutions worldwide to launch programs, grow enrollment, improve learning and connect education to careers. It has more than 25 global partners in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Australia, which have enrolled students from over 70 countries combined.

“We are thrilled to partner with a student-centered institution like Marymount University, which has a strong commitment to quality and innovation,” added Steve Fireng, Global Chief Executive Officer of Keypath Education. “Expanded online programs within Nursing and Education will allow more students to have access to this tremendous mission-focused University.”
