Examples of Student Housing Accommodations

Examples of student housing accommodations include, but are not limited to:

  • Elevator access near a residence/room.
  • Ground-floor residence/room location.
  • ADA accessible bedroom and/or private restroom.
  • Bathroom modifications including grab bars, a roll-in shower, and a lower mounted sink for wheeled mobility device access.
  • Private or semi-private bathroom.
  • Personal Care Assistant/s authorized to be in a student’s residence/room at all hours.
  • Room large enough to support the student and a Personal Care Assistant.
  • Allergen reduction via air-conditioners, air-filtration, and carpet-free rooms.
  • Strobe alarms installed in the residence/room.
  • Residence location away from frequently used thoroughfares.
