About the ISSS Office & Team
Our Mission
As part of our RSHM identity, Marymount University strives to bring people of all backgrounds together to create a vibrant learning community. Through support services, student organizations, and community-wide events, we offer an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. International students are an integral part of Marymount University, providing the campus community with an opportunity to learn about the richness of different cultures around the world. Approximately 14% of Marymount University’s student body comes from overseas, representing over 68 countries. Marymount’s International Student & Scholar Services Office (ISSS) is dedicated to providing students with a comfortable and supportive environment that facilitates adjustment and promotes personal growth and academic success. We are committed to supporting you during your time at Marymount and beyond.
The ISSS Office provides the following services for new and continuing students:
- Immigration advising
- Acquaintance with on-campus services for students
- Cultural and educational programs
- Academic support
- Handouts on U.S. and Marymount’s Policies and Procedures
- Confidential cross-cultural counseling
Associate Director, ISSS
Anne Maschino is the Associate Director for the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). She is responsible for the operation of ISSS and serves as a Designated School Official (DSO), which includes advising international students on a wide range of issues and managing processing of immigration related matters. Anne grew up in Asia and Africa, and has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. as well as to the South Pacific, Central America, and Europe. She has a Master’s degree in Pacific Islands Studies with a focus on economic development.
ISSS Graduate Assistant
Tsatsa (Erdenetsatsral Gerelt-Od) is an international student from Mongolia. This is her second year at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, pursuing a dual degree for a Master of Science in Information Technology and a Master of Business Administration. Before entering Marymount, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Medical doctor and a master’s degree in Business in Mongolia. Tsatsa joined the ISSS team in January 2023. As an international student herself, she is very passionate about student advising and advertising internationalization at Marymount. In her spare time, she likes to draw and spend quality time with her family.
