Dr. Daniel Corrigan Launches New Book!
Dr. Daniel Corrigan’s co-edited book Rights of Nature: a Re-Examination was published last month. He will be doing a virtual book launch on July 7, 2021 with the Global Network for Human Rights & the Environment.

Congratulations to Melanie Martinez-Lopez who has been awarded a $5000 scholarship from the Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi Foundation of Washington, DC!
Congratulations to CSH student, Melanie Martinez-Lopez, who has been awarded a $5000 scholarship from the Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi Foundation of Washington, DC, which is one of only four scholarships competitively awarded to students from all DC area universities.
Melanie is an honors scholar majoring in communication with a minor in criminal justice (3.9 GPA, Dean’s List for the past three years) and anticipates graduating in December 2022. She has written for The Banner, Marymount’s student-run news outlet. In addition to attending Marymount, she works 18-20 hours a week for the Fredericksburg Free Lance Star as a sports assistant. She has written bylined articles and puts together sports agate summarizing various local competitions.

Virginia's Collegiate Honors Council Fall Conference held at Marymount’s Ballston Center
Both intellectual curiosity and service to others were on display at Marymount University’s main campus and Ballston Center, which played host to the Fall Conference planning meeting of the Virginias Collegiate Honors Council (VCHC).
