About the ISSS Portal

The International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) portal is an online system that allows students to view and manage their immigration record. Through the ISSS portal, students may submit many different types of immigration requests applicable to F-1 or J-1 status.

How to Access the Portal

Marymount’s F-1 and J-1 students can access and read content related to their ISSS record and make requests through the ISSS portal.

  • New students will receive an email with the login link and instructions after they submit their enrollment deposit and confirm they will be attending Marymount University. New students must create their MU account (MU credentials) to be able to access the ISSS portal.
  • Current students log in to the ISSS Portal using your MU credentials.
  • As of Spring 2024, students on OPT and OPT STEM may continue to use their MU credentials after graduation if they continue to log into their MU student email account within every 6  months. OPT students with earlier graduation dates will continue using their personal email information to access the ISSS portal.

How to make an immigration request

Once you log in to the ISSS portal, you will notice that there are four number tabs across the top of the page.

  • Click Tab 1 to check important announcements.
  • Click Tab 2 to view your profile, including your personal and academic information.
  • Click Tab 3 to view your financial information.
  • Click Tab 4 “Initiate & Manage Your Requests” to make a request. Scroll down to find the icon for the request type that you would like to make. Click on an icon and complete the required steps prior to clicking Submit. After you Submit, ISSS advisors will automatically be notified of your pending request.

Request Processing Times

Please allow up to 10 business days for ISSS advisors to review your request. To avoid further delay, read the instructions for the request carefully and upload the correct documents. If we have questions or need more information, we will contact you through your Marymount student email account. If you receive a request for clarification, please respond quickly with the information needed.
