Incoming Students

Marymount awards credit to incoming first-year and transfer students through a number of programs. The following links provide further information:

Additional Program Options

  • A-Levels: Credit is awarded for grades of A, B, or C. No credit awarded for O-Level work.
  • DANTES/PONSI: Marymount University follows ACE guidelines for awarding credit applicable to a student’s program.
  • French Baccalaureate: Credit is granted for subjects with a minimum grade of 10. No credit is given for English or French language.
  • Credit for Military Training: Credit may be awarded for military training after evaluation of official Joint Service Transcript (JST) or Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcripts by the student’s Associate Dean in consultation with department chairs.

Note: No more than 30 credits may be earned through any combination of these exams. Additionally, credits earned through examination do not count toward the 36 credit residency requirement. Credits earned through examination after matriculation will count toward the limit of 84 total transfer credits.
