Carl came to Marymount in May of 2020 with the goal of implementing Workday as part of the university’s digital transformation. He has extensive experience managing all aspects of information technology used to support academic, administrative, and library functions in public and private, four-year and two-year institutions, including Montgomery College, American University, and the California State University system. Carl was also a founding employee of the Washington Research Library Consortium.

Outside of higher education, Carl has served as a management consultant for KPMG, and has provided technology consulting services for the Smithsonian Institution, several universities, and for eight years was part of a team that created and delivered a unique management education experience for senior executives of the Xerox Corporation in the United States and Europe.
