Marymount University invites local residents to celebrate the Christmas season at its annual tree lighting and candlelight Mass.
• The tree lighting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2 in front of Marymount’s Lodge building on its main campus, 2807 North Glebe Road. Guests will enjoy scripture readings and carols.
• The Candlelight Mass will begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 at Marymount’s Sacred Heart of Mary Chapel. The Mass is a celebration of “Guadete Sunday,” the Sunday of Joy in the midst of Advent. Mass will be followed by a small reception with cookies, hot chocolate and carols in the Main House.
