Message From the Director

Welcome to the Marymount University Center for Professional Ethics and Social Responsibility!

The Center for Professional Ethics and Social Responsibility is a creative hub that brings together faculty and students from across the University, along with researchers, professionals, and partners from the surrounding communities, to support and advance the fields of professional ethics and social responsibility. The Center is organized under the Office of the Provost and collaborates across all colleges, schools, and programs in the University. This allows the Center to facilitate ethical dialogue that spans the areas of professional practice and to address multiple aspects of social responsibility as it relates to both individuals and institutions.

Message From the DirectorMarymount University emphasizes the education of the whole person, including the intellectual and ethical development of each student. We seek to impart values and instill a strong ethical character in our students, so they can lead personal and professional lives that embody integrity, honorable conduct, and a recognition of responsibility to the broader community.  The Center for Professional Ethics and Social Responsibility plays a key role in the University by supporting research projects, speakers and conferences, educational programs, and community partnerships that advance this mission.

I am honored to serve as Interim Director and lead the development of this new Center. Our website is in its early stages of development. Please return regularly to follow its development and learn about the research fellows to be named and their exciting projects, our expanding student programs, and upcoming events. I would be happy to talk with you about the Center and any of our wide-ranging initiatives.
