ACRM R13 Workshop

2024 NCCIH/NCMRR R13 Diversity Mentoring & Career Development

The Center for Optimal Aging at Marymount University and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) are pleased to announce the ACRM R13 Diversity Complementary and Integrative Rehabilitation Medicine (CIRM) Workshop funded by the NIH NCCIH/NCMRR grant #R13AT012585. The workshop offers an incredible opportunity for talented early-career investigators from underrepresented minority backgrounds to take on a prominent role in the CIRM Workshop. Held alongside the 2024 ACRM Annual conference, this workshop provides exceptional research training, mentoring, and networking for emerging scholars eager to excel in their careers. Participants will have the opportunity to attend a specialized virtual workshop prior to the conference.  Furthermore, fellows will have a chance to connect, collaborate, and network with experts from around the globe.

Selected fellows will receive a one-year ACRM membership and $1000 stipend to cover travel expenses to Dallas, TX. Additionally the fellowship includes:

  • In-person participation in the CIRM Workshop on October 31 from 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM;
  • Conference registration to attend the in-person ACRM Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX, from October 31 to November 03, 2024;
