Founders Day

Marymount Founders Day 2021

February 24

Greetings from the RSHM to the entire Marymount Community on this Founders Day! While we cannot celebrate the occasion to the same extent as normal due to the ongoing pandemic, we do hope you will participate in person or virtually via the events below.

In place of our annual Speaker Luncheon, we are sharing three specially-produced videos that spotlight distinguished sisters of the RSHM order and how their impact is being felt today at Marymount University and around the world.

The videos below are scheduled to premiere at 10 am on February 24. Tune in!

RSHM’s Commitment to Service and Evangelical Justice, featuring Sr. Rosamond Blanchet

The Cormaria Retreat House and Values-Based Education through the RSHM, featuring Sr. Ann Thaddeus Marino

Youth and Global Perspective in the RSHM, featuring Sr. Rosemary Mwagarezano

Also, we will be holding a special Founders Day Mass on campus. Because of social distancing protocols, in-person attendance will be limited so RSVP as soon as possible!

Following the Mass, the Office of Campus Ministry and Spiritual Life and the Saints Center for Service will distribute “Social Justice Tool Kits” to celebrate both Social Justice Day and the RSHM tradition of working towards social justice.
