Marymount University\u2019s <\/span>2021 Portfolio in Motion<\/span><\/a> (PIM) event, the culminating academic project for Marymount\u2019s Fashion programs and one of the largest student-produced events on campus, will be launched as a virtual film on May 6.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the theme of \u201cMetamorphosis,\u201d the event will showcase transformative creations by students in Marymount\u2019s <\/span>Fashion Design<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Fashion Merchandising<\/span><\/a> programs. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe theme of \u2018Metamorphosis\u2019 was coined by our students in response to the challenging year of 2020,\u201d said Julia Ravindran, Assistant Professor of Fashion Design at Marymount University. \u201cButterflies represent resurrection, hope, change and growth. The students connected this idea to the reality of the world they\u2019re living in and its effect on the fashion industry \u2013 the process of transformation being metamorphosis.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
