International Education Week (IEW)<\/a>, celebrated nationally from November 16-20, 2020, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State<\/a> and the U.S. Department of Education<\/a> is part of an effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.<\/p>\n

Marymount celebrated its own International Education Week a week early from November 9-13, with a weeklong series of events focused on the theme of \u201cCreating a Sustainable, Global Future.\u201d Each day was focused around one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including goals like reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities and global health and well-being.
