Marymount University invites area students ages 14 to 18 to attend one of its Summer Technology Institutes. Participants will take daily classes taught by Marymount faculty and engage in hands-on activities. They will also hear guest speakers who are information technology professionals, be mentored by Marymount students and learn about college majors and career opportunities in technology.<\/p>\n
\u0093The whole idea behind the cybersecurity camps is to provide the experience of working in a true cybersecurity environment,\u0094 said Dr. Diane Murphy<\/a>, chair of Marymount\u0092s Department of Information of Technology. \u0093And there\u0092s no better place to have it than in the Washington, D.C., area, which is the center of the cybersecurity universe.\u0094<\/p>\n GenCyber Day Camp and Mobile App Development Institute require a $100 application fee. Program costs for all three events are covered through grants from the National Science Foundation.
