Today, <em>Military Times<\/em> awarded the school its prestigious \u0093Best for Vets\u0094 designation as part of its 2016 rankings of colleges.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093We award the Best for Vets designation to the very best \u0096 the colleges that really are setting the example,\u0094 said Amanda Miller, editor of the <em>Military Times<\/em>\u0092 Best for Vets rankings and special editions.<\/p>\n<p>In its sixth year, the rankings factor in the results of the magazine\u0092s annual survey, a comprehensive school-by-school assessment of veteran and military student services and rates of academic achievement. Marymount is No. 124 in the \u0093Best for Vets: Colleges 2016\u0094 rankings. More than 600 colleges took part.<\/p>\n<p>\u0093We\u0092re always proud to receive this distinction, which reinforces our commitment to both those who have served in America\u0092s armed forces and their families,\u0094 said Marymount President Matthew D. Shank. \u0093Serving the nation\u0092s veterans, who have so ably served us, is something we take very seriously.\u0094<\/p>\n<p>The recognition comes on the heels of Marymount being named both a military-friendly school for the sixth straight year by <em>GI Jobs Magazine <\/em>and a Top School in Military Advanced Education\u0092s \u00932016 MAE Guide to Colleges &#038; Universities.\u0094 Additionally, MU\u0092s School of Business Administration is a <em>Military Times<\/em> \u0093Best for Vets\u0094 Business School.<\/p>\n<p>The Marymount University Military &#038; Veteran Student Services, headed by Joe Blount, is located in Gerard Hall, Room 1017, on Marymount\u0092s main campus at 2807 N. Glebe Rd.
