Marymount University has once again been named one of the top part-time MBA programs in the greater D.C. metro area by the Washington Business Journal.

“It’s great to be consistently honored as one of their top 10 programs,” said Dean James F. Ryerson of Marymount’s School of Business Administration.

Marymount’s part-time MBA program ranked seventh on the Business Journal list.

One new advantage of the program will be added this fall, when its students will have the opportunity to complete the entire MBA program online, or, if they prefer, choose a mix of online and on-campus classes.

“Many schools mandate that you do one or the other,” Ryerson said. “We think that it’s unique that we’ll allow students the flexibility to do the whole thing face-to-face, online, or to mix the two.”

Students can make their choices on a semester-by-semester basis.

“Our traditional MBA student works full-time and takes two classes a semester,” Ryerson added. “We think a number of people will still choose to take some courses in person in order to bond with their professors and classmates, but will also appreciate the ability to take classes online, especially considering that the Washington, D.C., area has the second-worst traffic in the entire nation.”

Ryerson said the important thing is to provide an option for students to find the best match for their schedule and lifestyle.
