The public is invited to a free public lecture by Fulbright visiting scholar Dr. Jui-Hua Chen of Taiwan at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25\u00a0in the Gomatos Information Literacy Room in Reinsch Library on the campus of Marymount University, 2807 North Glebe Road. His talk is, \u0093What is the Immigration Museum?: Representations of Immigration in France and the United States.\u0094<\/p>\n
Dr. Chen is an associate professor of sociology at the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. He is a visiting scholar at Columbia University for the 2016-2017 academic year, where he\u0092s doing a comparative study of immigration museums in different countries.<\/p>\n
He will also engage with Marymount students in a sociology class in the morning.<\/p>\n
