Marymount University has announced the winners of its Student Research Conference 2017, which provides a forum for undergraduate and graduate students to present research they have completed in conjunction with a faculty mentor. The conference was held on April 26.<\/p>\n

Dr. Lujendra Ojha served as keynote speaker of the conference. Ojha is a Nepalese-American planetary scientist who, as an undergraduate at the University of Arizona, was the first to uncover evidence of water on Mars while analyzing images from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). He was the lead author of a study in \u0093Nature Geoscience\u0094 confirming that water still flows on Mars today. He is the Blaustein Postdoctoral Fellow in Planetary Science at Johns Hopkins University.<\/p>\n
