Local families are invited to visit a portable planetarium, build stomp rockets and watch 3-D printing demonstrations and other free, hands-on STEAM activities from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 14 in the Verizon Gym on Marymount University\u0092s Main Campus, 2807 North Glebe Road.<\/p>\n
MU students who are pursuing education degrees will be on hand to advise and supervise the young scientists as they learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. The event will be hosted by Marymount\u0092s student chapters of the International Association for STEAM Leaders and the National Science Teachers Association. \nDesigned for participants from Pre-K through ninth grade and their parents, the event will include\u00a0demonstrations from NASA, the Arlington Police Department, the Long Branch Nature Center and the Arlington Recycling Center.
