One of the group\u0092s members, Jeff Doucette, is a proud Marymount Saint, and has three degrees from the University (AAS \u009293, BSN \u009294, MS \u009298). He is currently the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Thomas Jefferson.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u0093What this team has been able to do is test over 2,000 people and get them at home where they need to recover,\u0094 Doucette told DeGeneres during the show. \u0093And so this team has come together and formed this amazing family that has really kept this community safe.\u0094<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ug3au9z8Fkw\" width=\"560\"><\/iframe> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During the episode, Swab Squad members talked about what it\u0092s been like on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, and how they\u0092ve bonded as a work family during these tough times. DeGeneres also had a few surprises for them, including a personal message from Ciara and her husband, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u0093You guys are doing something so amazing and so special,\u0094 Ciara told the nurses. \u0093You guys are giving the world joy at a time when we need it by dancing and leveling up.\u0094<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u0093What\u0092s up, squad?\u0094 Wilson added. \u0093You guys keep leveling up, keep doing your thing. You\u0092re the true, true heroes.\u0094<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nDeGeneres also surprised them with a $50,000 donation to help Thomas Jefferson employees who are struggling financially due to the pandemic, courtesy of Shutterfly.
