About 40 members of Marymount University’s graduating class celebrated their accomplishments on Friday afternoon through a Graduation Parade. Cheering them on were about 60 faculty, staff and community members, who lined up along a four-mile route that looped between Main Campus and the Ballston Center to recognize the Class of 2020.

The Parade, which was organized by the Student Affairs office, was performed in a safe fashion through social distancing, and participants were required to stay in their vehicles for the duration of the procession. Graduates decorated their vehicles with acrylic paint, posters, streamers and balloons to travel on North Glebe Road between Marymount’s campuses, led by an escort from the Arlington County Police Department.
