This week, Marymount University released its detailed plans to fully resume on-campus operations and welcome back students in August with face-to-face classes and residential living.

\nEmployees will begin the transition back to on-site work on Monday, June 22, in preparation for the return of students and fall semester classes, which are scheduled to start on Monday, August 24. Marymount plans to end all in-person course activities by Thanksgiving break, and move all remaining course requirements and exams to a remote delivery.

\nThe University previously announced its intentions in May to reopen campus in the fall, with a commitment to following guidance from state and federal health agencies and government officials to best protect the health and safety of all students and employees.
\n\u00a0
\nMarymount\u0092s plan, \u0093Saints Reunite,\u0094<\/a> was developed by the University\u0092s Return to Campus Task Force and is awaiting approval from the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). Its content was informed by guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Forward Virginia Reopening Blueprint, Arlington County Public Health Division (ACPHD), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other governing bodies and professional organizations.

\nThe plan focuses on five key areas \u0096 reopening safely and sustainably, repopulating campus, monitoring health conditions, containing the possible spread of COVID-19 and following contingency plans in the event of a potential dismissal or shutdown order.
