What started as a family tragedy for a Marymount University alumna turned into a new career path and a way to make meaningful, positive change in her native country.

\nNana Konadu-Asare, originally from Ghana and a 2015 graduate in Health Promotion, wanted to use her college degree to make a difference and soon gained experience working in a hospital\u0092s emergency room. However, she found her true calling after the death of her uncle in a town outside of Ghana\u0092s capital of Accra.

\n\u0093Ghana is home, and home is where the heart is,\u0094 said Konadu-Asare, who was the first in her family to attend college. \u0093I always knew that I would go back\u0085I just didn\u0092t know it would be for this.\u0094<\/p>\n
