The baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN)<\/a> meets all the academic requirements to sit for licensure as a registered nurse (RN). The BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791. The BSN program is also approved by the\u00a0 Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing.<\/p>\n **It is required that all BSN applicants obtain board approval prior to sitting for the NCLEX; this includes an application process. Individual states may have other requirements. The state board will evaluate each application in its entirety to make a final decision regarding professional licensure\/certification.
