5:30 p.m. Marymount 5K, Ballston Campus, first floor lobby
Join us for the sixth annual Marymount 5K, hosted by the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. A portion of the proceeds will go toward providing physical therapy services to underserved populations, allowing our students and faculty to travel to orphanages, nursing homes, long-term care facilities and rehabilitation clinics. 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Criminal Justice Happy Hour, Ballston Campus, Second Floor
The Criminal Justice department invites alumni to attend a Homecoming Happy Hour. Join us to reconnect and make new connections.
6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Student Leadership Alumni Happy Hour, Buffalo Wild Wings

The Office of Student Transition, Engagement, and Leadership invites all alumni who held a positional leadership role during their tenure at Marymount to attend a Homecoming happy hour. Join us to reconnect with student leaders from year’s past and make new connections.

Show your Saint Spirit at the biggest Pep Rally of the year! Cheer on the basketball team as they take the court for the first time of the season. We will unveil the Women’s Final Four Team banner during Saints Madness. Make sure to wear your blue & white for this Marymount tradition!

9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Mass, Sacred Heart of Mary Chapel  
10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Reunion Brunch for classes 1961-1971 with Dr. Becerra, Main House
Dr. Becerra invites classes 1961 through 1971 for a brunch to visit with classmates.
12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Lecture: An Action Plan for Falls Prevention by Dr. Sara Pappa  and Dr. Rita Wong, Reinsch Auditorium
Although our risk of falling increases as we age, falls are not inevitable and are often preventable! Join us to learn to decrease your risk of a fall in and around your home as well as through regular strength and balance exercises.
1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Ballston Campus Tour
All are welcome to enjoy the Ballston campus through a student- guided walking tour. Meet your tour guide on the first floor of the Ballston Campus in the front lobby near the security desk.
2:45 – 3:45 p.m. Lecture: What to See in D.C.: 5 Museums, 5 Works by Dr. Mark Trowbridge, Ballston Auditorium
Take advantage of your Homecoming Weekend by visiting museums in the D.C. area. This illustrated talk will introduce you to five must-see works from five different historical periods, housed in five different D.C. museums. Each talk will cover a different set of works, come to both!
4:00 – 5:30 p.m. BILT Panel and Alumni Happy Hour, Ballston Campus, Second Floor
The College of Business, Innovation, Leadership, and Technology invites alumni to meet the Dean and Directors during a panel discussion about curriculum updates.
4:00 – 5:30 p.m. The School of Education Alumni Happy Hour, Main House
The School of Education invites all alumni to attend a Homecoming Happy Hour. Join faculty, staff, and fellow alumni to reconnect and make new connections!
6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, The Westin Arlington Gateway
Join the Athletics Department to celebrate the 2021 inductees. This year’s class includes three individuals and one team; Bobby Barrett ’08 (Men’s Swimming), Cori Carson (Women’s Basketball), Stephen Milano ’01 (Men’s Lacrosse), and the 2001-02 Women’s Basketball Team. The ceremony will include a cocktail hour, dinner and awards program.
8:00 – 10:00 p.m. Family Friendly Movie on the Lawn, Ireton Lawn
Join us for this classic Marymount event! Enjoy a movie on Ireton Lawn with your family friends! Bring a blanket and sit under the stars while enjoying some free snacks!
9:00 – 11:00 p.m. Saints Social, Ballston Campus (the lobby area on 1st and 2nd floors)
Join the Athletics Department after the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Banquet for a Saints Social. Light refreshments will be available.
Saturday, October 16

9:00 a.m. Mass and Life of Christ stained glass dedication, Ballston Chapel
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Ballston Campus Tour

10:00 a.m. Men’s Lacrosse Legends Game, backfield
Marymount Masters Level Alumni (32 years of age or older) will play against another masters level team.
10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Reunion Brunch for Marymount High School graduates, Main House
Marymount High School graduates are welcomed back to campus to reunite with their classmates and enjoy a brunch at the Main House.
10:00 – 10:30 a.m. Lecture: Waves of Fire by Dr. Eric Bubar, Caruthers G109
Science can explain some amazing phenomena. In this lecture, you will witness some firsthand physics “magic” tricks including making magnets out of electricity, shooting lightning across a classroom, “stopping” waves in midair, breaking bridges with sound and seeing your favorite music dancing in fire! 
10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Campus Ministry Alumni Brunch, Ballston Chapel and The Rixey Apartments rooftop
The Office of Ministry and Spiritual Life welcomes all alumni to tour the Ballston Chapel and enjoy brunch on The Rixey rooftop.

10:30 a.m. Lecture: Creature Features – Turtles and Snakes – Very Close and Very Personal by Dr. Todd Rimkus, Caruthers 1021
Marymount is home to some fantastic creatures. You will get an up close view of several of these. Opportunities to hold them (or they can hold you). This lecture is hands on and you will learn some amazing facts about our resident reptiles. Turtles that go fishing? Baby turtles that are turned into females? Snapping turtles use physics to catch fish?

11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Lecture: Beans are Cheaper Than Beef: Exploring Vegetarian, Vegan, and Plant-Based Diets by Dr. Julia Doto, Reinsch Auditorium
From the Impossible burger to vegan Kit-Kats, plant-based foods are everywhere! But what is a plant-based diet and what can you eat on one? Can they really be less expensive than fast food? Learn this and more during our bite-sized session!

3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Alumni Art and Design Exhibit Opening, Barry Gallery
Join us for the opening of a juried exhibition of artwork made by MU alumni of all disciplines. The juror will be Jamie McDonnell ’18. The exhibition will feature two-dimensional, framed (ready to hang) art in any media, including drawing, painting, design, mixed media and photography, as well as sculpture and ceramics. Awards, including Best in Show and two Honorable Mentions, will be presented during this reception.
5:00 – 8:30 p.m. Halo Awards Dinner and Ceremony, The Westin Arlington Gateway
Join us to celebrate the achievements and service of six outstanding alumni, faculty and community members. The ceremony will include a cocktail hour, dinner and awards program.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther in Concert, The Kennedy Center – Open to the first 54 RSVPs
In 2018, Marvel Studios’ Black Panther became a cultural phenomenon. Now, you can relive the excitement of T’Challa becoming king and battling Killmonger as the National Symphony Orchestra performs Ludwig Göransson’s Oscar-winning score live to picture for the very first time.
Transportation to and from the Kennedy Center is provided.
The Kennedy Center has implemented the following policy: Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 is required to attend all indoor performances and events at the Kennedy Center. Please see the full COVID safety plan for more information on what is accepted. Masks are required at all times for all patrons and visitors regardless of vaccination status in all indoor spaces at the Kennedy Center.
