Marymount University offers a variety of room options tailored to meet the unique needs of first-year students. Our first-year housing options include Rowley Hall<\/strong> and Gerard Hall<\/strong>, each offering a comfortable and engaging living experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rowley Hall<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Rowley Hall features three room types, each providing a different blend of space, privacy, and comfort:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \nA traditional two-person room with all the essentials, including twin beds, desks, chairs, and storage. This option is ideal for students who enjoy a classic college roommate experience in a cozy, affordable space.<\/span><\/li>\n

    \nA step up from the standard double, offering a bit more room for those who value additional space for studying or relaxing. It provides a comfortable balance between affordability and added space.<\/span><\/li>\n

    \nThe most spacious option, this room type offers extra square footage, giving you the flexibility to arrange your space as you like. Fully extended doubles are in high demand, so we recommend applying early if this is your top choice!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Gerard Hall<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    First-year students can also select Gerard Hall<\/strong> as a residence option. Gerard Hall offers only the Standard Double<\/strong> room type, a cozy shared space for two students with essential furnishings, making it an affordable and welcoming choice for first-year students. Located near key campus facilities like the Main Dining Room, Student Engagement offices, and Campus Ministry, Gerard Hall combines convenience and community.<\/span><\/p>\n

    If you are a transfer student who is 20 years old, additional housing options are available to you beyond first-year halls. Depending on your preference and availability, you may be able to choose from Berg Hall, Butler Hall, or Ostapenko Hall<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

        2. Rank Your Preferences Carefully<\/span><\/h4>\n

        To give yourself the best chance of securing a room that suits you, rank up to five room options<\/strong> in your order of preference, listing your top choices first. We make assignments based on availability and the preferences you select:<\/span><\/p>\n

        • Prioritize what\u2019s most important to you<\/strong>: Whether it\u2019s extra space, affordability, or a mix of both, list your preferred room types first.<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Don\u2019t select only singles<\/strong>: Single rooms are limited and are generally assigned to upperclass students or those with approved medical accommodations. If you only select singles and we do not have any available, you may be placed in a double with a roommate to accommodate your housing request.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          3. Apply Early for Best Availability<\/span><\/h4>\n

          Fully extended doubles in Rowley Hall are popular and may not be available for all applicants, so we recommend applying as early as possible if this is your preferred choice. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so completing your application early increases your chances of securing your top room preferences.<\/span><\/p>\n
