For this reason, the University offers several wellness programs for students and community members including food pantries, discounted books, conflict resolution resources and a brand new community career closet! Find out more information about the resources available on campus below.

To encourage student health and wellbeing, the Marymount Office of Wellness runs an initiative called Appollonie’s Campus Cupboards which promotes food security among all Marymount community members.

The Appollonie Cupboards can be found in five locations across campus: Rowley Hall, St. Joseph Hall, Caruthers Hall, the Gerard Commuter Lounge, and the Ballston Center.

They feature canned goods, drinks, on-the-go snacks, and microwavable dinner options. These cupboards are stocked through community donations and help from Catholic Charities. Community members are encouraged to take or drop off food whenever they like!

Locate a cupboard using our Marymount campus resources map.

In Spring 2025, the Marymount Center for Career Development and Community Engagement will launch the Marymount Career Closet, a resource that provides students with free professional attire for interviews, networking events, site visits, and more.

This initiative is a collaboration with local non-profit Women Giving Back, which will provide clothes for the career closet to empower students to look and feel their best as they enter the workforce. The Career Closet will feature various men’s and women’s clothing and accessories in many sizes and styles to appeal to a wide range of students.

Combined with opportunities to engage in career development, such as mock interviews and resume reviews, the career closet will be a one-stop shop for career preparation.

Marymount provides undergraduate students access to textbooks, online resources, and other required materials at a lower cost through Bernie’s Books for Less program. Rather than requiring students to purchase all textbooks and lab manuals, Bernie’s Books for Less will provide students with new, pre-used or digital materials at the flat rate of $21.75/credit hour rather than at full price for each item. This system makes it easy for students to ensure they have all of their needed materials before classes begin and even allows for students to “swap” materials if they add or drop a class.

Through these resources Marymount seeks to support student success inside and outside of the classroom.
