The Marymount University Chamber Singers<\/b>, directed by Dr. Kimberly Hess, is the exclusive vocal performing arts ensemble at Marymount University.  The group performs a broad range of choral music, from Medieval chant to Modern works and rehearses on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. in Gailhac Hall, Room # 2001.  The choir leads the singing for the 7:30 p.m. Sunday Mass in the Sacred Heart of Mary Chapel and performs on campus for events such as the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Faculty Council and concerts.  The MU Chamber Singers have sung at prestigious venues including the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the National Archives Museum’s 4th<\/sup> of July Celebration, the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington, VA, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame and the Archdiocese of Washington Pastoral Center with His Eminence Wilton Cardinal Gregory as the celebrant. The MU Chamber Singers is a Student Government Association group and is offered for academic credit (MUS 124) through the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and may be taken for multiple semesters.  For further information and audition, please contact Dr. Kimberly Hess at kess@marymount.edu<\/p>\n
