Association for Campus Events plans and implements a variety of events such as comedy nights, movies, theme parties, dances, music concerts, coffee houses, trips to off-campus events and places of interest, Family Weekend entertainment, and the annual semi-formal ball. AMSA aims to help prepare Marymount students for medical school by providing them with opportunities that will build their resume, knowledge, and skills. BSA plans and organizes programs that promote awareness of Black History and culture and promotes interest of minority students. CRU is a non-denominational Christian community where the Gospel captures hearts, transforms lives, and launches men and women into a life-long adventure with Christ. The Cheer Team promotes and upholds team spirit for Marymount University by performing at sporting events and competing in national competitions. The Commuter Activities Board (CAB) provides a voice for commuter students\u2019 needs and interests on campus. If you are a commuter you are encouraged to join this club! CAB will keep you connected to the University community as well as keep you fully aware of any new transportation information. The purpose of MUCD is to promote civic engagement and civil discourse among the students at Marymount as well as promote principles, candidates, and the platform of the Democratic Party of the United States of America. Furthermore, MUCD will serve to make connections between students and figures within Democratic politics and US government, taking advantage of Marymount\u2019s location within the DC beltway.<\/p>\n Marymount College Republicans strives to give opportunities for our members to succeed on campus, in the community, and around the DMV.<\/p>\n The Dance Team is dedicated to supporting athletic programs and campus activities by performing and spreading MU spirit. Go Saints! The Fashion Club is one of the largest clubs on campus and actively promotes the professional development of students interested in the fashion industry through participation in fashion shows, speakers, and an annual trip to New York to visit a designer showroom. In addition, members have the opportunity to help dress models at local fashion shows and even assist in Marymount\u2019s renowned fashion show, Portfolio in Motion. Food For Thought is a Marymount organization focused on raising awareness about, and helping to alleviate, food insecurity in the Arlington area. We have an on-campus “Plot Against Hunger” garden and donate the produce grown to our campus community as well as to the greater Arlington community. We also collaborate with our neighbors at the St. Andrew’s Church with their “Plot Against Hunger” garden, whose proceeds are also donated to local food pantries. Additionally, we collaborate with Marymount Dining Services to donate bagged lunches to the Arlington Street People’s Assistance Network (A-SPAN).<\/p>\n Full Spectrum promotes an atmosphere of respect and education about the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) student chapter is dedicated to encouraging, supporting, and guiding students from all professions who are passionate about improving the health and well-being of older adults. Our goal is to serve as a support for students in their professional development in education, advocacy, research, and policy within the field of aging.<\/p>\n Are you looking for adventure? The Grit and Grime League plans monthly excursions off-campus such as rock climbing, hikes, and so much more!<\/p>\n The goal of the Health Sciences Club is promoting health education, engagement, and service in the Marymount, Arlington community.<\/p>\n Our goal is to strengthen skills, build connections, and have fun! We work towards creating events that help people gain experience and knowledge about the interior design career and industry. These events can include workshops, guest speakers, design related trips, and many more!<\/p>\n The Latinx Student Association familiarizes the campus community with the Latino culture through special programs, engages in service projects with the DC metropolitan Latino community, and strengthens ties between Latino students and Marymount University. Some activities include dances, galas, and topic-based discussions.<\/p>\n Email Latino Student Association<\/a><\/p>\n This is a club for MU Saints who are interested and passionate about learning and discussing the legal system!<\/p>\n At MU Athletic and Recreation Club, we strive to support on campus NCAA athletics, off campus professional athletics, and provide opportunities for the student body to participate in sports.<\/p>\n MIC seeks to provide members with networking opportunities with intelligence workers and recruiters, field trips to our country’s most esteemed agencies’ headquarters and other relevant locations, personalized advice for each student’s intelligence career circumstances, and real insight from current and former employees of the Intelligence Community (IC) about modern day challenges the IC is facing.*Please note, that members are not required to be a part of the FLP program or the Intelligence Studies concentration. Our group is open to all students!<\/p>\n The MU. Lift Club will promote and encourage physical activity among students and faculty of Marymount University. This club will welcome and motivate all members of the community in all aspects of fitness, emphasized in bodybuilding. It will provide education in areas such as exercise, nutrition, supplementation, goals, posing, etc. The Bodybuilding Club will also host group lifts in the weightroom.<\/p>\n Nationally recognized organization that give students the tools they need to drive their future forward, establish themselves as leaders among their peers, and build real-world skills that will help them excel in the workplace.<\/p>\n The Saudi Student Association promotes interest in the history and culture of Saudi Arabia. The Science Club encourages students to discuss current developments in science and to discuss careers in the field. The Student Government Association serves as the official representatives of the student body.
