ULifeline<\/a> JED Foundation<\/a> Now Matters Now is an online, video-based program that includes real people who teach coping skills to help manage suicidal thoughts, intense emotions, and other problems. This is not meant to be a replacement for therapy but can help provide helpful tools and resources.<\/p>\n The AFSP is an organization that “gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death”. Participate in community Out of the Darkness walks, discover community programs, and find resources on their website.<\/p>\n “NAMI works to educate, support, advocate, listen and lead to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones”. Connect with the NAMI Helpline by calling 800-950-6264 or text “Helpline” to 62640.<\/p>\n “Mental Health America is the nation’s leading national nonprofit dedicated to the promotion of mental health, well-being, and illness prevention”. MHA offers community education and engagement, mental health screening and research, advocacy and public policy, workplace resources, youth programs and peer leadership, and information and referral services.<\/p>\n Active Minds is a nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for young adults (ages 14-25). “By empowering young adults to speak openly about mental health, we can reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and prevent suicides”.<\/p>\n ULifeline offers free mental health screening tools for college students. \nULifeline is an anonymous, confidential, online resource center, where college students can be comfortable searching for the information they need and want regarding emotional health.<\/p>\n
\nJED is a nonprofit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation\u2019s teens and young adults. We\u2019re partnering with high schools and colleges to strengthen their mental health, substance misuse, and suicide prevention programs and systems. We\u2019re equipping teens and young adults with the skills and knowledge to help themselves and each other.
