Student Counseling Services provides brief, solution-focused individual counseling services. Students are allotted 12 individual counseling sessions within an academic year. (For SCS, the academic year begins and ends in mid-May.) There is no limit for participation in group counseling or walk-ins.<\/p>\n
If the counselor believes that a student\u2019s needs could be served more appropriately outside SCS, the counselor will work with the student to ensure connections with referrals to treatment providers in the community.<\/p>\n
Individual counseling is an opportunity to explore, manage, and\/or resolve personal concerns regarding such topics as:<\/p>\n
Any student who is registered for at least one course in a given semester is eligible for individual counseling services during that semester. Eligible students include:<\/p>\n
Students who cease to be registered due to withdrawal, suspension, or dismissal from the University cease to be eligible for counseling services.<\/em><\/p>\nScheduling an Appointment<\/h2>\n
