If a student lacks adequate health insurance, their education could be interrupted or even terminated due to an unexpected illness or injury.<\/p>\n<h2>Enrollment Information:<\/h2>\n<p>Only students who are registered as full-time as defined by the registrar&#8217;s office are eligible to enroll\/re-enroll in the university sponsored plan.<\/p>\n<h2>Please Note:<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>The enrollment for Fall 2024 is now open! It will be available starting 06\/12\/2024 and close on 09\/06\/2024<\/strong>. Please contact SHS if have any questions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Who is eligible for the school sponsored plan?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Undergraduate students registered for 12 or more credits<\/li>\n<li>Graduate students registered for 9\u00a0or more credits during the fall and spring semesters<\/li>\n<li>Please note Graduate students that are registered in the summer for 6 or more credits are considered full-time<\/li>\n<li>Students who have a change in registration status (i.e. registered as part-time and changed to full-time)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u00a0How do I enroll?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Students who have enrolled into the plan previously must re-enroll by submitting an enrollment form at the start of each academic year.<\/li>\n<li>Students can enroll by submitting an enrollment form .The enrollment form\u00a0can be found by logging into <a href=\"https:\/\/my.marymount.edu\/Home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">myMarymount<\/a> and clicking\u00a0&#8220;Student Health Insurance Waiver\/ Enrollment&#8221; under the Sign On Links.<\/li>\n<li>Students who have missed the enrollment deadlines may contact the SHC directly to be enrolled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How do I get my insurance card?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/idp.uhcsr.com\/core\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2Fcore%2Fconnect%2Fauthorize%2Fcallback%3Fclient_id%3DmyAccount%26redirect_uri%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fmyaccount.uhcsr.com%252FauthToken%26post_logout_redirect_uri%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fmyaccount.uhcsr.com%252FauthToken%26response_type%3Did_token%2520token%26scope%3Dopenid%2520MyAccountApi.Secure%26state%3D1597760436787%26nonce%3D6671\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">United HealthCare Student Resources<\/a> to learn more about the insurance plan and to print off your insurance card.<\/li>\n<li>New users will\u00a0need to create an account to login to United HealthCare Student Resources website.<\/li>\n<li>When seeing your physician or incurring any charges for healthcare, always have all insurance coverage documentation available (i.e. cards and\/or ID numbers in your name from separate plans that you or your parent&#8217;s hold).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How long does the coverage last?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The coverage dates for the 2024-2025 academic year is August 17, 2024 through August 16, 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How much does the plan cost?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The Annual charge for the 2024-2025 insurance plan is $2,070 and will be billed to your Student Account as a &#8220;line item.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Part-Time Students<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are a part-time student in need of health insurance, you may wish to research various health insurance options at <a title=\"www.healthinsurance.org\/Virginia\" href=\"https:\/\/www.healthinsurance.org\/virginia\/?PageSpeed=noscript\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">www.healthinsurance.org\/Virginia<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What if I still have questions about the plan?<\/h2>\n<p>If you have additional questions about the insurance plan please contact\u00a0Gallagher Student Health &amp;\u00a0Special Risk at 1-833-440-0570 (toll free) or by going to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallagherstudent.com\/students\/student-home.php?idField=1423&amp;KosterWebSID=v2brao6pk0ajr3o4ngc9vpg620\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gallagher Student Health &amp; Special Risk website<\/a>\u00a0and clicking on the Customer Service link.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marymount University believes that health insurance coverage is crucial while students pursue their studies.
