Are you passionate about Marymount University and want to make a greater impact on the campus community? Admissions Ambassadors, Community Assistants, Orientation Leaders, and Peer Mentors all play an important role in assisting students with their transition and retention to Marymount, by providing ongoing mentoring and support. These roles provide valuable leadership experience and skills, which can be applied in diverse fields and future employment opportunities. In addition, each of these positions provides compensation.
Thank you for your interest in becomng a student leader for the 2020-2021 academic year. The applcation and hiring process are provided below:
Step 1: Attend an information session to learn more about the positions and the recruitment and hiring process. Each candidate must attend at last one information session to be eligible to participate in the hiring process. Specific dates and times can be found here.
Step 2: Apply on Handshake between Thursday, January 30 and Friday, February 14, 2020. All applicants must complete the online application and submit a Career Services approved resume. Upon successful submission of the application, applicants will receive instructions on how to submit two references, one from a Marymount faculty or staff member, and one from a Marymount peer. Reference forms are due by Friday, February 21, 2020.
Step 3: Attend the Student leadership Interview Weekend February 22-23, 2020. Specific dates and times will be provided to candidates once applications have been submitted. The weekend will include a group process and individual candidate interviews. If you have a conflict that cannot be rescheduled, please contact Anne Aichele at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 4: Applicants, who are hired, will be expected to attend Leadership Training to prepare for their role as a student leader. Applicants, who are hired, will also be expected to attend at least three Lead with Purpose Leadership Workshops.
