Are you passionate about Marymount University and want to make a greater impact on the campus community? Admissions Ambassadors, Community Assistants, and Orientation Leaders all play an important role in assisting students with their transition and retention to Marymount, by providing ongoing mentoring and support. These roles provide valuable leadership experience and skills, which can be applied in diverse fields and future employment opportunities. In addition, each of these positions provides compensation.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a student leader for the 2021-2022 academic year. The application and hiring process are provided below:
Step 1: Attend a virtual information session to learn more about the available positions and the recruitment and hiring process. Information sessions will be held via Zoom on the following days and times:
Monday, February 22 at 6pm
Tuesday, February 23 at 12pm and 6pm
Wednesday, February 24 at 12pm and 6pm
Thursday, February 25 at 12pm and 6pm
Friday, February 26 at 12pm
Monday, March 1 at 12pm and 6pm
Tuesday, March 2 at 12pm and 6pm
Wednesday, March 3 at 12pm and 6pm
Thursday, March 4 at 12pm and 6pm
Friday, March 5 at 12pm
Step 2: Apply on Handshake between March 1-15, 2021. Search for job number #4468298. All applicants must complete the online application and submit a Career Services approved resume. PLEASE DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE 15TH TO HAVE YOUR RESUME APPROVED. Upon successful submission of the application, applicants will receive instructions on how to submit two references (at least one must be from a Marymount student, faculty, or staff member. Reference forms are due by March 28, 2021.
Step 3: Attend an individual virtual interview between March 22-26, 2021 and a group virtual interview on March 27, 2021. Step 4: Applicants, who are hired, will be expected to attend Leadership Training to prepare for their role as a student leader. Applicants, who are hired, will also be expected to attend at least three Let’s Talk Leadership Workshops (see MUEngage for additional information).
