Basic Life Insurance

As a full-time faculty or staff member, you will receive at no cost to you, one (1) times your salary (to a maximum of $50,000) of life insurance through UNUM. This benefit becomes effective on your first day of employment with Marymount University and continues until you cease employment.

• Life benefits begin to reduce at age 70.
• This plan contains a continued protection provision so in instances of total disability, prior to age 60, the premium will be waived and the coverage will continue.
• This plan also has an Accelerated Benefit Option which pays 75% of the benefit for the terminally ill.

Employee Basic Accident

As a full-time faculty or staff member, you will receive at no cost to you, one (1) times your salary (to a maximum of $50,000) of Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance through Unum. This benefit becomes effective on your first day of employment with Marymount University and continues until you cease employment.

• Life benefits begin to reduce at age 70.
• This plan pays benefits for death or dismemberment due to an accident.
