Leave Policies
Annual Leave
Full-time, regular staff employees accrue annual leave based on the following schedule:

A total of no more than one year’s accrual may be accumulated. Full-time staff members appointed for fewer than 12 months (9 or 10) accrue leave on a pro-rated basis. Annual leave does not continue to accrue while the employee is on official Leave (FMLA, disability), or is on approved leave-without-pay
Pay Time Off (PTO) Plan for permanent part-time employees that work 20-29hrs a week. PTO plans combines vacation time, sick leave and personal days into one comprehensive plan. PTO would be used when a permanent part time employee needs to take time off from their normal scheduled work day.

A total of no more thane years accrual may be accumulated. PTO does not continue to accrue while the employee is on official Family and Medical Leave or is on an approved leave-without pay.
Sick Leave
Full-time, regular employees accrue paid sick leave at a rate of 3.69 hours per pay period of employment. A total of sixty work days (“capped” at 480 hours) may be accumulated. When an employee receives medical/family leave of absence (FMLA or MUFMLA), or short-term or long-term disability, he/she does not continue to earn additional sick leave during the period of such leave. Sick leave is accrued and recorded by the payroll system. Full-time staff employees appointed for fewer than 12 months (9 or 10) earn sick leave on a pro-rated basis.
