All of the following, except the Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG), require the completion of the FAFSA. <a title=\"View steps to complete the FAFSA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marymount.edu\/Admissions\/Financial-Aid\/Completing-Your-FAFSA\">View the steps required to complete the FAFSA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Programs<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3>Federal Pell Grant<\/h3>\n<p>The Federal Pell Grant program is for eligible families with the lowest income levels. 2022-2023* Grants range from $672 to $6,495 per year based on enrollment status. Eligibility is determined by FAFSA and is available to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>undergraduate students only<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em>*2023-2024 amounts pending with <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/\">studentaid.gov<\/a> as of February 1.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)<\/h3>\n<p>The SEOG offers limited additional funding with priority given to full-time Federal Pell Grant recipients who represent the highest level of financial need. For qualified students, grants can be awarded <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>up to<\/strong><\/span> $4,000 per academic year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/06\/federal-grant-programs.pdf\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #333399;\"><strong>FSA Federal Grant Programs Resource Guide &#8211; English<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/06\/federal-grant-programs-spanish.pdf\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399; font-size: 10pt;\">FSA Federal Grant Programs Resource Guide &#8211; Spanish<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Marymount Grant<\/h3>\n<p>The Marymount Grant is sponsored by the University to make education affordable for as many full-time, first-degree needy undergraduate students as possible.<\/p>\n<h3>Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/02\/TAGApplication202425fillab.pdf\">Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant<\/a>\u00a0is available to Virginia students 1) meeting domiciliary resident of Virginia as defined by the Code of Virginia \u00a723.1-502 and augmented by the Domicile Guidelines, 2) meeting the military dependent requirements under \u00a7 23.1-505 or 3) meeting the Tuition Equity provision requirements under \u00a7 23.1-505.1.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This state grant<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> is not<\/strong><\/span> based on financial need.<\/li>\n<li>The amount of the award varies each academic year depending on the state\u2019s funding.<\/li>\n<li>Awards will be made by the Commonwealth to students who file their applications by <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>J<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">uly<\/span> 31<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Late applications will be considered if funds are available.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Applications are submitted to the Financial Aid Office. <\/span><\/li>\n<li>Repayment is not required. The Commonwealth of Virginia funds the program. VTAG awards for graduate students are restricted to those enrolled in health-related programs only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/admissions\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/02\/TAGApplication202425fillab.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant<\/a> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Deadline: July 31, 2024<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>DC Tuition Assistance Grant (DCTAG)<\/h3>\n<p>The DC Tuition Assistance Grant (DCTAG) is available to legal residents of the District of Columbia who attend Marymount on a full-time basis. The amount offered varies each academic year depending on the available funding. DCTAG is not based on financial need; however, an application must be filed through the program.<\/p>\n<h5>State Education Office<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/osse.dc.gov\/service\/dc-tuition-assistance-grant-dc-tag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DC Tuition Assistant Grant Program<\/a><br \/>\n801 First St. NE,<br \/>\nThird Floor<br \/>\nWashington, DC 20002<br \/>\nPhone:\u00a0<a title=\"(202) 727-2824\" href=\"tel:2027272824\">(202) 727-2824<\/a><br \/>\nFax:\u00a0<a title=\"(202) 727-2834\" href=\"tel:2027273834\">(202) 727-2834<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>DC Mayor&#8217;s Scholarship Undergraduate Program<\/h3>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/osse.dc.gov\/mayorsscholars\">Mayor\u2019s Scholars Undergraduate Program<\/a>\u00a0provides need-based funding for eligible DC residents earning their first associate\u2019s or bachelor\u2019s degree at select area colleges and universities. The program is a last-dollar award meaning it can be used to fill the gap between a student\u2019s financial aid package and the cost of attendance.<\/p>\n<h3>Graduate Saints Grant<\/h3>\n<p>The Marymount Grant for graduate students is sponsored by the University to make education affordable. All undergraduate students who graduate in December or May from Marymount University will be awarded the $6,000 Saints Grant.<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility is open to students who maintained an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.8 or greater, and Marymount alumni with comparable academic standing who are not currently enrolled in graduate-level coursework at the University.<\/p>\n<p>Saints Grant recipients will be given a $3,000 Saints Grant for their first semester, and the remaining $3,000 grant will be awarded in the last semester of their academic program prior to graduation.<\/p>\n<p>All graduate programs are eligible for Saints Grants except for Nursing, Counseling, Physical Therapy, and Forensic &amp; Legal Psychology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grants are available to all students who qualify (according to the stipulations of each grant) \u2013 undergraduate and graduate.
