GRAs work directly with a faculty member to collect data, analyze data or develop new research studies and projects. GRAs will learn research skills pertinent to the research agenda of their faculty mentor.<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-6\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-25606 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/academics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2023\/03\/acounting.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"col-md-6\">\n<h3>Common Duties of a Graduate Research Assistant<\/h3>\n<p>Research activities may include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>applying and mastering research concepts, practices, or methods of scholarship:<\/li>\n<li>conducting experiments;<\/li>\n<li>organizing or analyzing data;<\/li>\n<li>presenting findings in either written or oral format; and,<\/li>\n<li>collaborating with others in preparing publications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>GRA students will be under the direct supervision of a faculty or staff mentor and training for them will be arranged on a one-to-one basis with the mentor to include such things as IRB and CITI training. GRA tuition waivers follow the typical 1\/3, 2\/3 or 3\/3 schedule which equates to 105\/210\/300 hours per semester of work, respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Graduate Research Assistant positions support the faculty in their research endeavors.
