Daniella Alexander – Admissions Counselor
My name is Daniella Alexander, and I graduated from Marymount University in 2021 with a degree in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Communication (I was also just one credit away from a Spanish minor).
As a first-generation, Latina student that felt like I was unqualified and ill-prepared for the college process and worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a diverse, welcoming environment, I was so lucky that I found comfort and home at a university that was just 15 minutes from my house. A place that valued, challenged, and uplifted me both personally and professionally. Because I fell completely in love with MU, I did what I could to help people love it as much as I did (and still do), which led me to be incredibly involved on campus (so I know my way around MU).
Outside of Marymount, I am a huge Green Bay Packer fan (and don’t tolerate any slanderous words about my boys), a (failing) plant mom, sleep enthusiast, and dog mom to the cutest and sassiest Chihuahua, Chiquis.

Any and all Latino food! I wake up thinking about my next meal.

Best College Search Process Tip
Make lists! You can never start the college search too early, so having a general idea of what you want, what you’re looking for, things you won’t settle for, etc. will help you narrow down your choices when the time comes. That isn’t to say that you have to know everything that you’re looking for – asking questions (that you might not find on a university’s website) will give you a better idea of what that institution is like. Trust me, there is no question that is “dumb” or not important. Good luck, and I can’t wait to help you during this process!
