Below you will find a listing of scholarships available to students for the 2024-2025 academic year with brief information about the scholarship qualifications.

 Financial need is determined by FAFSA data. Applicants must have a completed 2024-2025 FAFSA on file to be considered for any need-based scholarships.

Please note that donor funded scholarships are non-renewable and are offered as a one-time award for the designated academic year unless otherwise noted.

College of Health and Education Scholarships

Alexander Christian Croft Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student in the Physical Therapy Scholars Program with either a high school average or college average of 3.3+ with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed a FAFSA.
Ann Leary Finnegan Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a full-time, second-year student in the nursing program with a maximum GPA of a 3.3 and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
The recipient must also:
Submit a short essay in which they recite a recent experience where he/she has touched the life of a sick or elderly person; must submit a resume, and
Two (2) letters of recommendation (either personal or from a nursing instructor)
The ideal recipient must exhibit Ann’s characteristics of leadership, compassion, and a contagious love of life. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Caruthers Family Scholarship
Students eligible for this scholarship shall be entering into their Senior year of the BSN program or the 3rd year of the ABSN program; must be in good academic standing at the time of application and during the term of the award; must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Claveloux/French/Shapiro Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student majoring in Education who has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Daphne Brady/O’Donnell Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a nursing student who maintains good academic standing and a commitment to the health professions and has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Diane C. DePodesta Nursing Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a degree in nursing who has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Dorothy Efner & Shirley Efner McManus ’79 Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a nursing student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and who is committed to the profession of nursing. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA
Elizabeth and Howard Noonan Memorial Scholarship (CHE)
This scholarship is awarded to a second-degree nursing student who has completed at least one semester of the program and maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Or a full-time undergraduate student who has maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA for at least one year and plans to major in Biology with an emphasis on pre-med. The recipient must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA
Finnerty Sullivan Health Professions Endowed Scholarship Fund This scholarship is awarded to students with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in the School of Health Professions. Special consideration is to be given to students who are or have already worked in the healthcare field and desire to advance their careers. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Janet and Bobby Killebrew Scholarships in

Nursing and Education

 

This scholarship will support two students in the College of Health and Education. One undergraduate student in the ABSN program and one undergraduate student majoring in Education. Students must have academic promise and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Leslie Anne Hoover Endowed Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student or second-degree nursing student with academic promise and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA
Linda D. Bloomer Nursing Scholarship This scholarship will provide tuition support to a rising senior in the traditional nursing track or a student in the last year of the accelerated nursing track. To qualify the student must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and a GPA of 3.2 or higher and plan to become a practicing nurse upon graduation. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Lt. Gen Elmer Rogers and Lt. Col. Wilma Hague (Rogers) Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student who is in the School of Education and is the offspring of a veteran or is a veteran himself/herself; Student must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and maintain a 3.2+ cumulative GPA. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Medstar Health Physical Therapy Scholars (MHPT) This scholarship is awarded to five (5) Doctor of Physical Therapy students. See DPT Scholarship page for details.
O’Shaughnessy-Hurst Foundation Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (ABSN) program, who has a high level of financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and academic merit. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Our Sunday Visitor (CSLP) Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded in the summer semester to a student who is currently enrolled in or has been accepted into the 36 credit CSLP M.Ed program. A student enrolled in the certificate program will not be eligible to receive this scholarship. The student must take either the GRE or MAT unless they have a GPA of 3.0 or a master’s degree; student must be a practicing Catholic; student must be employed as an administrator or teacher in a Catholic School with at least 3-5 years of experience in Catholic education. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Richard and Jeannette Parkinson Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a nursing degree within Marymount’s Malek School of Nursing Professions who maintains a minimum 3.0 G.P.A. and has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Preference will be given to students from a high school in the St. Louis, Missouri or Long Island, New York geographic areas. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Richard Eaton Foundation Nursing Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time nursing student who has a high level of financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Rita Wong Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who is in good academic and judicial standing in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Rose Bente Lee Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time nursing student who has high academic promise and a high level of financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Society of Forty & Eight Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to Marymount students in the Accelerated Nursing program (ABSN) who are citizens of the United States, plan to work as a nurse in the United States, are full-time students, have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office, have a “B” average or better, with preference given to military veterans. Applicants must complete an application, and a written statement as to their background, reason for choosing a nursing career, their objectives in the career, and how the scholarship will aid them in achieving their goals. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
The Lucille & Bruce Lambert Endowed Scholarship
.This scholarship is awarded to a full-time, second-degree seeking student in Nursing. They must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. The recipient must also: Submit a short essay describing why they chose to work with geriatric patients and submit a professional resume and recommendation from a nursing instructor. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
The Raja Nasr Endowed Scholarship in Education This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate (junior or senior) or graduate student (min. 6 credits) with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office, who is currently enrolled in education courses and is on the education licensure track. Preference will be given to a student with an ESL concentration. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
The Virginia Morris Kincaid Foundation Scholarship-Current This scholarship is awarded to graduate students in the Physical Therapy program who demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. All graduate students in Physical Therapy may be considered. Preference will be given to women, veterans, and veterans’ spouses. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Victoria D. de Sanchez Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to support an incoming or current student with financial need who is majoring in Education, maintains a GPA of 3.0+, and demonstrates interest in Hispanic heritage, culture, and education. Preference will be granted to DREAMers or DACA recipients.
William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to full-time minority nursing students with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Preference given to students who intend to reside in the United States after completing their studies. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.

 

College of Sciences and Humanities Scholarships

Daniel Mack Cornell Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Communications who maintain a minimum 3.4+ GPA at Marymount or transferred from another institution and have earned a minimum of nine (9) credits. The recipient must display an intent to pursue graduate studies and/or a career in communications or writing. Preference given to U.S. citizens with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA
Diotima Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student majoring or minoring in Humanities; who maintains a 3.0+ GPA with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. The recipient must also have completed a minimum of 15 credits. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA
Elizabeth and Howard Noonan Memorial Scholarship (CSH)
This scholarship is awarded to a second-degree nursing student who has completed at least one semester of the program and maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Or a full-time undergraduate student who has maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA for at least one year and plans to major in Biology with an emphasis on pre-med. Students must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Janet and Bobby Killebrew Scholarship in Criminal Justice 
This scholarship will support an undergraduate student majoring in Criminal Justice with academic promise and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Preference will be given to students with career plans to work for the FBI. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Rhett Leverett Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student majoring in politics and must exhibit academic merit and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Robert A. Draghi Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate Humanities major or minor with a 3.0+ GPA and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Rosemary Hubbard Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student in the College of Sciences and Humanities who maintains a cumulative 3.3+ GPA and has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Victor E. Indrisano Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate Senior in the Psychology program. The recipient must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and display high academic potential. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.

 

College of Business, Innovation, Leadership & Technology Scholarships

Dana Keegan ’98 ’08 Scholarship
The Dana Keegan ’95 ’08 Scholarship Fund will provide annual financial assistance to two promising interior design students. The scholarships will provide $2500 per academic year for each student. Both undergraduate and graduate students shall be considered, and special attention will be given to students that display a unique creative approach to their design, students that live local and commute, as well as students that are managing school and parenthood. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Daniel Duro Memorial Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an international master’s or doctoral level student majoring in IT or Cybersecurity with a minimum 3.5 GPA and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
Don Lavanty Endowed Scholarship
Returning Student Scholarship Applicants must have full-time student status seeking either a Masters degree with a certificate in Healthcare or a Doctorate with a healthcare focused dissertation. Student must have completed a minimum of two full semesters by the term of award and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
OR
Prospective Students Scholarship Applicants shall be full-time seeking students either a Masters with a certificate in Healthcare or a Doctorate with a healthcare focused dissertation. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA from a previous University. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Dr. Robert Sigethy Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student who has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and displays academic excellence in the School of Business. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Gloria Spinelli Bohan Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a graduate student enrolled in Marymount’s MBA program who shows promise and excellence in entrepreneurship. The recipient must maintain a 3.5+ GPA, have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and be in the process of creating or working in a start-up company. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Irma Peiteado Suarez Endowed Scholarship This scholarship will provide financial support for a first generation undergraduate student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Candidates must be an Interior Design or Fashion Design major and at the time of awarding be a sophomore, junior or senior. Candidates must be in good academic standing. If no candidate meets all of the criteria, the Interior Design faculty and Financial Aid Office will select the student who best fits the criteria. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
IT/Pablo Enriquez Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student who has earned a minimum of sixty (60) credits and has been enrolled at Marymount for at least one full semester. The recipient must be pursuing a degree in Information Technology and have a 3.0+ GPA at the time of application and have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Preference given to students having an affiliation as Hispanic American. *Award recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA during the term of the award. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Jennifer Tino ’94 World Trade Center Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student in the School of Business Administration who maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrates financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Kazuko Barkey Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Interior Design. Students must maintain a minimum 3.0+ GPA. The recipient must also have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Incoming students may demonstrate academic eligibility with a minimum 3.0 GPA in their Marymount University application. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Margaret A. Cassidy Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a prospective or current undergraduate student; majoring in Information Technology in the School of Business & Technology, computer science, or in any successor program encompassing information technology or computer science. The ideal candidate must retain full-time status in good academic standing, with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office; preference shall be given to candidates who identify as part of the LGBTQ community. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Mary Elizabeth Kelley Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a prospective or current undergraduate student majoring in a degree program within the School of Business or the School of Technology including but not limited to: Business Administration, Economics, and Information Technology; full-time status and in good academic standing at the time of application and during the term of the award; must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Preference shall be given to candidates who identify as part of the LGBTQ community. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Mary Lee Scatterday Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a Marymount student who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Design Studies with a 3.2 minimum GPA. The recipient must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Mary Phelan Baynes Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in the College of B.I.L.T. who has an interest in retail merchandising and has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Marymount Angels Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate studying Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising & Marketing who showcases leadership in the classroom as specified by faculty. The recipient must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
PIM Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student who has shown a strong commitment to the fashion program, great academic achievement and exhibits financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Sadie W. Kyle Business Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student majoring in Business Administration and working toward a Bachelor of Business Administration. Must have academic promise and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA
Sylvie Cachay Memorial Project Endowed Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate who is a student in the fashion design program with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
The Charles Miller MBA Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a current student in the MBA program. Student must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and display academic excellence and achievements. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
WG McGowan Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a current Business School student in their last year of undergraduate study or in the second term of their graduate curriculum. Must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and good academic standing. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.

Circle of Friends-Class of 1968 Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student who has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and has a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Class of 1956 Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an entering first-year freshman or enrolled undergraduate who has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Class of 1958 Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student who has financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and a minimum of a 3.0+ GPA. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Dr. Linda R. McMahon Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office who maintains a minimum 3.0+ GPA and has successfully completed 2 years of study at Marymount. The recipient’s accomplishments should be consistent with the University’s mission. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Henry Carlton and Bessie Burke Newton Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
James Shelton Endowed Scholarship Fund This scholarship is awarded to a first-year (Freshman or Transfer) who maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA (high school or college) the semester prior to enrolling at Marymount. The recipient must demonstrate leadership qualities through extracurricular activities as well as community involvement. Other Requirements: Financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office, two letters of recommendation documenting leadership qualities and community involvement 100-125 word essay on “How you have Developed into a Leader”; *This scholarship is *not* renewable. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
John P. and Alice S. Mandanis Scholarship This scholarship is open to current Marymount students with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and high academic achievement. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Lead Her Forward Scholarship Recipient must be in their final year of completing an undergraduate degree at Marymount, have been a member of the Dean’s List for four years, plan to pursue a graduate degree, and have demonstrated leadership in the Marymount community. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Lisa Kristen Ola Memorial London Scholarship This scholarship will support at least one student studying abroad in London. Criteria for award: Enrolled in and accepted to the London study abroad program. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Mary Caroline Spokas Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Matthew and Mary Hammond Sullivan Scholarship The scholarship will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate, transfer student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
MU Board of Trustees Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled full-time at Marymount and has a minimum GPA of 3.5 and financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Pablo Coto Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate senior who displays academic excellence, leadership, spiritual commitment, and loyalty to friends. The recipient must also have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA
Robert Reed Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to students with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
First in My Family Scholarship The scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student entering into his/her freshman year at Marymount. The recipient must also be the first in his/her immediate family to receive a college degree, with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA. Preference given to students of Hispanic descent. The student must also be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Steven C. Virbick Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and must have a minimum 3.0+ GPA. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Student Government Association Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office who has completed a minimum of 12 credit hours, maintains a 2.5 GPA, is in good judicial standing, and exhibits leadership characteristics and qualities within the community, on campus, or in another area. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
The Marymount University Alumni Association Board Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a currently enrolled or new student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office who maintains a minimum 3.0+ GPA. The recipient must provide proof that they have been an active participant in leadership or volunteer activities on or off-campus; AND a member of his/her family is a Marymount alumna/us; OR If not related to an alumna/us, the recipient must provide a letter of recommendation from a Marymount alumna/us. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
The Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
Thomas K. Malone, Jr. Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate or graduate student with financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Students must have completed an updated FAFSA.
William P. Ames, Sr. Family, and Leon V. Harrow Family Endowed Scholarship
