Marymount\u2019s College of Health and Education (CHE)<\/a> presents the Summer 2026 edition of The Health and Education Herald<\/a>, celebrating a year of growth, academic excellence and community impact across the College\u2019s programs. This issue highlights the largest commencement in CHE history, continued expansion of graduate and doctoral offerings, and the many ways students and faculty are advancing health and education through service, research and leadership.<\/p>\n

This editions major highlight is the School of Counseling<\/a>\u2019s global engagement trip to Sevilla, Spain. There students gained firsthand experience with international mental health services and presented research at the Mediterranean Region Counselors Association conference. Marymount students earned multiple poster awards, while several faculty and alumni received regional recognition for their contributions to counseling and mental health education.<\/p>\n

The newsletter also showcases meaningful hands-on learning opportunities across the College. Nursing students completed immersive pediatric and disability-focused clinical experiences<\/a> through partnerships with organizations such as Jill\u2019s House and the Early Learning Academy<\/a>, while Health Sciences<\/a> students participated in community service initiatives, including Remote Area Medical clinics and health education programs for older adults.<\/p>\n

In addition, the issue celebrates faculty and student achievements throughout CHE, including faculty promotions and tenure, national conference presentations by the School of Education<\/a>, the recognition of doctoral student leaders, and the arrival of new faculty and staff supporting the College\u2019s continued growth.<\/p>\n
