Dr. Pappa is a member of the Executive Committee of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/arthritis\/virginia-arthritis-coalition\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Virginia Arthritis and Falls Prevention Coalition<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and she is involved in regional falls prevention initiatives, including leading the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.novafallsprevention.com\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Northern Virginia Falls Prevention Alliance<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Last Tuesday, September 1<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">st<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, 2025, Dr. Pappa was featured on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agingmattersonline.com\/radio-show\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Aging Matters Podcast<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, where she discussed the importance of fall risk awareness and prevention strategies for older adults. The episode went live last Tuesday, and it is available to listen to now on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/aging-matters\/id1526204286\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Apple Podcast<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/show\/0HvZeXmoVAmtXmbQwBJVvM\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Spotify<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/redcircle.com\/show\/89c0483f-e683-4667-8550-8fc560f85e1b\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">RedCircle<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mixcloud.com\/AgingMatters\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Mixcloud<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dr. Pappa\u2019s advocacy work continues this week, on Wednesday, September 17<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, as she heads to Washington, D.C., to join the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncoa.org\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">National Council on Aging (NCOA)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for a Congressional Briefing on Capitol Hill.
