{"id":36183,"date":"2025-06-05T15:23:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T19:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/academics\/?p=36183"},"modified":"2025-06-05T15:23:24","modified_gmt":"2025-06-05T19:23:24","slug":"college-of-health-and-education-newsletter-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/academics\/college-of-health-and-education-newsletter-3\/","title":{"rendered":"College of Health and Education Newsletter #3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Marymount <a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/academics\/college-of-health-and-education\/\">College of Health and Education (CHE)<\/a> presents the third edition of\u00a0 &#8220;The Health and Education Herald,&#8221; a newsletter that celebrates the accomplishments of CHE students, faculty, staff and alumni.<\/p>\n<p>In this issue, the College of Health and Education celebrates the Class of 2025 with <a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/blog\/marymount-celebrates-class-of-2025-and-75-years-of-excellence-during-commencement-weekend\/\">spotlights on student success and the graduation ceremonies that brought the community together.<\/a> This edition also includes an introduction to Dr. Skye Donovan, an educator and health leader with over 25 years of higher education and patient care experience, <a href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/blog\/longtime-marymount-leader-dr-skye-donovan-appointed-dean-of-the-college-of-health-and-education\/\">who will serve as the new Dean of the College of Health and Education<\/a>.\u00a0 The issue also highlights initiatives including the &#8220;Camp Santos: Rec N&#8217; Read&#8221; program &#8212; summer camp that supports youth bilingual literacy which will be run by the new Speech and Language Pathology department &#8212; a graduate level experiential learning experience for counseling students in Poland, and the Arlington County grant that the Early Learning Academy will use to build a new youth STEAM lab.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/musaint-my.sharepoint.com\/personal\/jbladuel_marymount_edu\/_layouts\/15\/onedrive.aspx?id=%2Fpersonal%2Fjbladuel%5Fmarymount%5Fedu%2FDocuments%2FAttachments%2FNewsletter%20Issue%20%233%20%28Revised%20copy%29%2Epdf&amp;parent=%2Fpersonal%2Fjbladuel%5Fmarymount%5Fedu%2FDocuments%2FAttachments&amp;ct=1749150914327&amp;or=OWA%2DNT%2DMail&amp;cid=7586b18b%2D5258%2D2077%2D0550%2Df3de42ab2b05&amp;ga=1\">third edition of the Health and Education Herald<\/a> to learn more about all of the amazing people and programs that make the College of Health and Education so special!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Marymount College of Health and Education (CHE) presents the third edition of\u00a0 &#8220;The Health and Education Herald,&#8221; a newsletter that celebrates the accomplishments of CHE students, faculty, staff and alumni.
