The recent grant of $1 Million which will be vital in supporting critical research to center racial health equity in systematic reviews through national consensus building was awarded to members and partners of the <a class=\"external\" title=\"[Opens in new window] https:\/\/us.cochrane.org\/\" href=\"https:\/\/us.cochrane.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cochrane US Network<\/a>, including&nbsp;<a class=\"external\" title=\"[Opens in new window] https:\/\/www.tcu.edu\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tcu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas Christian University<\/a>&nbsp;(TCU),&nbsp;<a class=\"external\" title=\"[Opens in new window] https:\/\/www.rti.org\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rti.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RTI International<\/a>,&nbsp;<a class=\"external\" title=\"[Opens in new window] https:\/\/www.campbellcollaboration.org\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.campbellcollaboration.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Campbell Collaboration<\/a>,&nbsp;<a class=\"external\" title=\"[Opens in new window] https:\/\/marymount.edu\/\" href=\"https:\/\/marymount.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marymount University<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a class=\"external\" title=\"[Opens in new window] https:\/\/www.gcsu.edu\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gcsu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Georgia College<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p>According too RWJF health equity means that everyone has an equal and just opportunity to be optimally healthy, which means obstacles to health such as poverty, discrimination, and their consequences should be removed.&nbsp; Systematic reviews\u2014rigorous and comprehensive syntheses and critical appraisal of evidence\u2014is a gold standard research tool to improve dissemination of evidence-based practices that can reduce or eliminate disparities.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about the grant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cochrane.org\/news\/robert-wood-johnson-foundation-awards-1m-texas-christian-university-towards-cochrane-us-network\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marymount University gets Funding to work on the RWJF grant in collaboration with the Cochrane US Network which will support the centering of racial health equality in systematic reviews through national consensus building.
